Sarita Forgings Limited is an integrated manufacturer of heavy steel forgings, castings and finish-machined components for rolling stock, power, mining, agriculture and general industry.
Founded in Ludhiana, Punjab in 1996 by Mr Anil Jain and converted to a public limited company in November 2017, we operate four manufacturing units across 425,000 sq ft of production area, with a workforce of over 550 people.
Everything happens on one campus. Closed-die forging on a 3,150-tonne screw press line and on drop hammers to 4 tonnes; steel and SG-iron casting; heat treatment; a 70-machine CNC park; fabrication, welding and painting; and a laboratory equipped for spectrometry, radiography, ultrasonic and magnetic particle inspection, mechanical testing and fatigue testing.
For three decades we have supplied safety-critical bogie and undercarriage components to the Indian Railways ecosystem — from LHB coaches to Vande Bharat semi-high-speed trainsets and the Mumbai and Bengaluru metro systems.
We also supply forged and machined components to Indian defence programmes. Today we are extending that capability to rolling-stock manufacturers and their suppliers in Europe and North America.
